• Botanical name: Kopsia fruticosa

• Family: Apocynaceae (the Oleander family)

• Common names: Shrub Vinca, Pink Kopsia, Pink Gardenia (sometimes miscalled)

• Origin: Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia)

Plant Features

• Type: Evergreen tropical shrub

• Height: Usually grows 1–2 m tall (can be pruned smaller for gardens/containers)

• Foliage: Glossy, leathery green leaves, oblong and attractive

• Flowers: Clusters of star-shaped pink to rose-pink blooms with a reddish center

• Fragrance: Lightly fragrant, especially noticeable in the evening

• Blooming season: Year-round in tropical climates, more during warm/rainy season

• Fruit: Small green fruits that ripen to black, not edible

Growing Requirements
